Save the Date for Saturday morning, May 20th, 2008 for our next forum on the development of Neighborhood Councils at Los Angeles City College, Faculty Center. Our agenda, 9:30am to 1:00pm, is as follows: Welcome - Noah Modisett Introductions Special Guests Deputy Mayor Larry Frank will discuss the Mayor's appointments to the 2006 Neighborhood Council Review Commission, the selection of a new General Manager for the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment and the role of Neighborhood Councils in Citywide policy issues. Followed by a dialogue with the audience. Open Mike Followed by a dialogue with the audience. Guest Speaker Commissioner Diane Middleton, Board of Neighborhood Commissioners Commissioner Middleton will discuss her view of the future role of the Board of Neighborhood Commissioners. Followed by a dialogue with the audience. A Heartfelt Thank You The Citywide Alliance of Neighborhood Councils join together in thanking Greg Nelson for his years of service to the Neighborhood Council cause.
The breakout sessions will focus on the ongoing efforts to draft Memorandums of Understanding with both the Planning Department and LADOT. Followed by a dialogue with the audience. Save the Date, May 20th.
